The most rare and enigmatic of magical creations. Consecrated through a ritual long forgotten, weapons of imperial gold are both powerful and incredibly volatile.

Ancient Civilization

"Imperial gold" as it is dubbed, is a term describing objects of pure gold recovered from ruins dating back to the Time Before. According to scholars, there is a theory that a great empire once existed that held dominion over all of Arxios and potentially beyond. It is believed that these people worshipped the gods of Viva Mori in their own right, and through their worship, crafted a ritual that would consecrate weapons with celestial power.

Material Characteristics

A warm, golden metal that glows dimly when in darkness. It never dulls or decays, and exudes an aura of holiness that wards off evil.

Imperial gold is incredibly sturdy, able to withstand an enormous amount of force without breaking. However, if one does succeed in shattering the metal, it explodes with such force as to level the surrounding environment. Something about the power infused within the metal keeps it under immense pressure.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Imperial gold, like celestial bronze, proves especially effective against monsters and creatures of chaos. Where it differs is that imperial gold is doubly vicious when attacking fiends, to the point of being able to banish these creatures from the material plane. Why the people of this empire had a reason to target such creatures specifically, we are unsure. Perhaps the denizens of the nine hells had been a dire threat to the empire.
