President of the Royal Academy of Coul

There have been four presidents throughout the history of the academy:

Requirements

To be nominated as the President of the Royal Academy of Coul is a worthy feat indeed. For any to even be considered, they must have spent at least a decade teaching at least 3 subjects at the Royal Academy. Any president would be skilled in many different arts, from elemental magic to cartography to music to fencing. Only the most academically talented and skillful would be chosen as the President of the royal academy, and it is something only few can even hope to achieve.

Appointment

The Council of Professors at the Royal Academy must vote to elect an aspiring President to the position itself. An 80% majority of the vote is required for an election. The voting process uses a system allowing each professor to vote multiple times, with the lowest ranking candidate being removed and votes for them being transferred to the voter's second choice. This repeats until an 80% majority is reached, in which case the candidate is elected as President of the Royal Academy of Coul.

Responsibilities

The President of the Royal Academy of Coul is responsible for performing large scale management of the academy, such as overseeing the creation of new classes or the dismissal of professors, and may teach several classes as a professor in their own right.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A president can only be removed through majority vote of the Council of Professors. In the event of treason or extreme misconduct, the offending president can simply be arrested and subsequently removed from office.
