Revolution
A failed attempt to rebel against Divinitian control
Empress Yeong-Hui I was well known for her peaceful nature and her interest in the cultures of her territories, and she made a big point out of travelling to each territory and celebrating with them on major days. There was one sort of celebration that she simply could not brook - those that revered Kysro, the goddess most commonly worshipped in this south-western continent. So when it came to festivals and rituals referring to Kysro, she would participate - but in honour of YLAIS instead. The southern Stolisi, already frustrated with years of being milked for minerals and precious metals, saw her disrespect first as an honest mistake, and later as a personal attack. Many would band together in 1235 and storm the Empress's personal abode in the capital city, demanding either an apology, her head, or independence. They received neither, as the rebels were cut down en masse by her personal guard. The Revolt ended as quickly as it began - its leader, a man named Kara, was among the first killed, and the rebellion fell apart. Yeong-Hui was characteristically gracious, and swept the incident under the rug as a 'simple misunderstanding'. However, she did not attend any more events in the south of Divinice, and eventually even shied away from Nirvejan in her last years, due to strong Kysroan sentiment.
