Retribution comes swiftly
The newly crowned Mira I, chosen from a small pool of potential candidates, christened her reign with a solemn pledge to the people of Divinice - that those who had slain Empress Twila III would not live to see another day. Swiftly she sent her armies storming through Nirvejan, capturing and killing many who had even the vaguest connections to the assassins. It was brutal, and by its end, hundreds of thousands lay dead on the streets, and Mira I claimed her blood soaked success over those who would threaten Divinitian superiority and the divine right of the Empress.
