Dhampir

The most recently discovered race native to Edore, the Dhampir were given their name by the people who discovered them, who had mistakenly believed them to be vampire spawn. The Dhampir had no personal identity of race, mostly due to inter-coven bickering between themselves.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Dhampir can easily be mistaken for a bat-like feyling, as they appear as an incredibly attractive humanoid with strange features: eyes that are slightly too large and large bat ears atop their head. They are not, however, and vehemently deny any relation. The Dhampir can transform into large, monstrous bat creature that retain their speech.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Primarily carnivorous, but will feed on plant matter if necessary.

Additional Information

Dhampir live in colonies among others of their kind, called covens, always scheming to ascend to their coven's court.

Naming Traditions

Major Organizations

Dhampir divide themselves into three separate covens, the Des, Dia, and Diph; each having their own goals and societal norms. To the Dhampir, these covens represent their true race.

Beauty Ideals

Dhampir are incredibly vain and are always attempting to appear youthful and attractive.

Relationship Ideals

There is a joke among the feyling that Dhampir are just feyling without a heart. Marriages among Dhampir are generally only for the purpose of aesthetics and can quickly dissolve if the other loses interest on a whim.
