Kobold
The most mysterious creatures on Ashaia is undoubtedly the Dragon. Many have been reported throughout history, but very few are accounted for. These seemingly immortal beings of immense power keep to themselves and are rarely seen. They require many services, however, and would not employ just any creature who allows itself to be subjugated. No, dragons have created their own servitors in their image to complete their tasks. These servitors are known to all as Kobolds.
Kobolds are fascinating creatures who carry out the mysterious wishes of their creators without question or hesitation. To many, kobolds appear to be enslaved by their creators, created with no free will or sense of self-preservation. This is far from the truth. While kobolds were created explicitly to serve, a kobold is never held hostage or kept from leaving, a kobold who is "freed" by well-intentioned individuals will oftentimes grow manic, angry, and oftentimes sick as it laments the loss of its life and duty. Kobolds were created to carry out duties that they genuinely enjoy carrying out. When observed from a distance, the kobolds of Drakhet appeared to be happily curating the city while singing merry songs in the strange language of their progenitor. Whether all kobolds behave like this is unknown, as the ruler of Drakhet, Bahamut, is very well-mannered and may well treat his creations better than other dragons. Until further research is done, the world may never know.

Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
The exact nature of creating kobolds is unknown. They are, for all intents and purposes, constructs of advanced magic, crafted for the specific needs and goals of whichever dragon created them.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Kobolds eat mostly small rodents, preferring to keep their diet almost entirely carnivorous. When presented lacking options, as they often are in the desert, they will begrudgingly consume plant matter.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Kobold social structure is entirely seniority-based. The eldest among them is in charge, while the youngest is lowest in the pecking order. This is entirely based on the idea that an older kobold should have more experience since they all share relatively identical origins, intelligent, and physical capabilities.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Created for the sole purpose of being servitors to the dragon who created them, kobolds are almost never found outside their creator's domain. Those who are were most likely stolen or separated from their clan by outside forces.
Average Intelligence
Kobolds are crafty, resourceful, and above animal intelligence. Unfortunately, they were created by and for beings that are far above average intelligence and do not need to be capable of advanced thought, leaving them lacking when compared to the averagely intelligent races.
