Currency

Currency in Ashanor is based on the gold standard. Most gold/silver/copper is imprinted by it's home country and it may be a matter of pride to sailors to have coins from each kingdom.

In using the gold standard most things cost gold or less. Many services are much cheaper than a gold, however, magic and rarer services may cost quite a bit.
