Ash Devil
Ash Devils are the physical phenomena of high, circulating winds stirring up loose soot atop the ash blanket and sweeping it up in a tornado of ash particles, similar to a 'dust devil'. Ash devils are common in the expansive regions of the ashland wastes: immense, flat areas devoid of geographical features, also referred to as 'ash deserts'. In these arid, flat environments, where excessively high winds are commonplace, ash devils may reach immense sizes and cover hundreds of miles before dissipating, with top wind speeds in excess of 400 miles per hour. They are among the most deadly and devastating environmental occurrances on Ashrain.
