The Ash Cloud

The ash cloud refers to a global plume of ash, soot, and volcanic particulate matter that encircles the entirety of the planet formerly known as Earth, blocking out nearly all sunlight. From this cloud, a constant raining of heavier particles falls upon the land and oceans below, giving the planet its haunting new name: Ashrain.
