The Goddess of Fertility
The Goddess of Fertility, known to most Sisters as simply the Goddess, is a metaphorical spiritual personification of fruitfulness and the fertility of the womb. Whether or not she actually exists as a true entity is not clarified by the doctrines and dogmas of the Birthers, and their traditions do not hinge on the practical existence of this deity. She is commonly defined as the spirit of procreation, the feminine aspect of nature, the Great Mother of Creation, and the chaos out of which life is brought forth. Her existence as a spirit is insisted upon by Sisters, who pray to her as their patron deity for fruitfulness as they pursue their sacred mission to repopulate humanity across the devastated globe of Ashrain. However, they do not consider her to be a concrete entity with physical or personal characteristics. She is rather the embodied truth of the importance of sex and reproduction in the cycle of life.
