Natives of Karkhana  As a general rule, they don't know much of the gateways and the worlds beyond. In fact, few in Karkhana travel beyond their own region, as most of the world is sharply divided by people and region. They are loyal to their region's ruler and generally intolerant and suspicious of outsiders. Although their society is based on layers of "protection" that bind families and regions together, family loyalty and close fellowship isn't common.

Known For

• Since Karkhana is stricktly isolationist, the people of Karkhana aren't really "known" for anything.

Unique Attributes

• The ability to exert mental and spiritual protection over others through blood ceremonies. This "protection" functions as the foundation of their society, with multiple layers of protection. The closest of these layers of protection is within the family: parent to child, husband to wife. Protection guards against any power outside the strictly physical: therefore it prevents entrance to the gateways without one's protector present, as well as the soul "binding" of the bazat. This protection extends beyond Karkhana and makes Karkhanites (as well as those under their protection) resistant to certain abilities found in other worlds (though it does not guard against the corvild).

Appearance

• Most achieve a height between 6' and 7' at adulthood
• Skin color varies by region, mostly within a spectrum that Earthites would consider "normal"
• Eyes and blood are metallic and feature as their most defining physical feature.

People Groups

• "Tsini" - Karkhanites with silver eyes and blood, tend to live closer to the poles of Karkhana
• "Kolha" - Karkhanites with gold eyes and blood
• "Bazat" - A group of Kolha and Tsini who developed the ability to use their "protection" to bind the souls of others and take on their appearance. Feared and ostracized by Tsini and Kolha.
