Lizardfolk

Lizardfolk get a bad rep, mostly due to their alien appearance (at least when compared to the other humanoid races), but they are not inherently evil or even ill-willed. Despite their alien outlook, some lizardfolk make an effort to understand and, in their own manner, befriend people of other races. Such lizardfolk make faithful and skilled allies. Granted, the standard line of thinking for a Lizardfolk differs greatly from just about any other intelligent race. They are taught from birth that self-preservation trumps all, and that material things and wealth are most often just a means to an end. All are just tools to prolong one's life and have no value beyond that purpose. This perception can lead people to view Lizardfolk as cold and calculating. While not far off, some Lizardfolk, specifically adventurers, can grow an attachment to their allies, viewing them as things to protect.
