Satyr
Many Satyr communities exist within the multiverse, primarily the Feywild. Satyrs relish freedom above all else, and they typically view the population of the Material Plane as far too strict and structured. In the Feywild, Satyr tribes live in large sprawling forests or rolling hills. These tribes are highly communal, and every member has a designated role. On almost a daily basis, celebrations are held amongst the tribespeople to commemorate, well...life. Most tribe members are young or elders, with very few actual adults. Instead, young adults will depart their tribe shortly after their 16th birthday hoping to explore the multiverse and experience the wonders it has to offer. These individuals most often become the Satyrs seen on the Material Plane, where their idea of freedom is sacrificed for the chance at adventure. See, Satyrs feel that life is to be lived and experienced with all the senses. Satyrs see the world and everything in it as a book of delights, and they want to explore every page. Once they have done so, they return home to their tribes to share the stories they've gathered and inspire awe in the hearts of the younglings who too will one day depart on adventures of their own.
Basic Information
Anatomy
In their physical forms, satyrs embody a fusion of humanoid civilization with the freedom of wild beasts. Generally, they look similar to humans, with a range of builds and features. But their goatlike horns, pointed ears, and furred lower bodies sharply distinguish them. Satyrs’ solid horns connect to their heads at the base of their skulls, while their legs end in sturdy hooves. Thick fur covers their bodies from the waist down, shorter at the waist and longer below the knees. Short, soft hair grows down their neck and spine, along their shoulders, and on their forearms.
