Access to The Void: The Golden Hearts complete a puzzle behind a secret door in the Chevaliers' Casern that transports them as well as Danica Caspian into what appears to be a section of The Void.
Shadowfang's Gem: A large red stone is pulled from Shadowfang's chest after it is finished off by Thorasius Fierhart and Decker Caspian.

The Fate of Lord Garmont: The true cause of death of Valeran's father is learned and avenged, giving Valeran closure.

Knight-Commander d'Avance: A shriveled, impossibly old figure waits for the party inside the Chevaliers' Casern. Valeran Athelvane eventually recognizes him as d'Avance, the last commander of The Knights of the West before they reformed as The Chevaliers of Corseilles. He bears a clay medallion that marks him as a messenger of The Earth Father. He guides the Golden Hearts through the secret door to the gateway to The Void, where each of the party plus Danica Caspian interact with four fountains and a statue to activate the gate.
Lord Garmont Athelvane: After fighting their way through malignant spirits and skeletons, the Golden Hearts are greeted by the spirit of Valeran Athelvane's father. He reveals that he fell here trying to purify the Eye of Chevlen, not in a roadside ambush as previously thought. He and his son share a tender moment.
Shadowfang: The legendary werewolf-like beast that Chevlen III defeated centuries ago was here seemingly as a guard. The Golden Hearts defeat it again.
Notes
- Valeran Athelvane takes messages for his sister and mother from Lord Garmont Athelvane.
- The spirit forms of Lord Garmont Athelvane and other warriors help defeat malignant spirits after Valeran calls for aid.
- A huge yellow eye watches over The Void, and a web of chains covers the location.
- Danica Caspian is attacked during the fighting but survives.
