Dampfen Basin

Dampfen basin is a long, shallow lake filled by the river Gebroch. Despite them being relatively low, its dark waters are murky and ominous, especially since the destruction of Düstverb and the surrounding region, and the formation of the Flooded Marshlands, whose corruption now flows into the Dampfen.

Not many aquatic species live in such waters, though there are reports of strange mutated beings leaving for its shores at night, and gurgling sounds being carried across its bracken surface. Plantlife is rife and wild, having reclaimed a lot of the shoreline after the departure of Mielian settlers following the corruption.
