Aspicientis

In ancient times, the land now known as Aspicientis bore a different name, and its people lived a life long since lost to history. Legends speak of a once-thriving world, filled with abundance and peace. But that world was erased, its memory nearly obliterated, by the tyranny of a fearsome being known as Derukoskai. Derukoskai, a notorious Beholder of unparalleled cruelty, unleashed chaos upon the land centuries ago. With destructive magic and legions of monstrous creatures under his control, he sought to obliterate all traces of the past, rewriting history in his image. And he nearly succeeded—until an unknown hero emerged from the shadows, daring to challenge the terror that none before could withstand.   This hero ventured into Derukoskai’s lair, a dark fortress buried deep within the heart of a mountain. As their battle raged, the earth trembled, and waves of magic clashed in a ferocious struggle. Then, with a final, cataclysmic explosion of light and fire, the mountain itself was consumed, and Derukoskai was slain, the hero’s fate sealed alongside him.   In the years that followed, a guild known as the Outsiders of the Dragonfly was formed to honour the hero’s sacrifice. Inspired by their courage, ordinary people flocked to the cause, swearing to uphold justice and protect the world from future threats.   The Dragonflies quickly rose to prominence, their influence reshaping the very fabric of Aspicientis. Their swift ascent to power placed them at the heart of the nation's political and economic spheres, where their voice was heeded even in the most critical decisions. Through their efforts, new laws were forged, technology advanced, and resources were secured, transforming Aspicientis into the prosperous land it is today.   Now, the Dragonflies stand as the guardians of a fragile peace, their legacy a beacon of hope in a world still haunted by the shadows of its forgotten past.
