Populations and Factions

Northwest is occupied by the way of the kensei, who are tasked mainly with protecting the mountains from hobgoblin incursion.

Southwest is occupied by the way of the long death, who cull rampant fey populations as well as perform experiments on various captured wildlife.

Ascendent dragons sit on the tallest mountain, secluded, meditating on aspects of the dragon to become more like them in solitude. Their mountain holds up the north end of the gong, and they think they are better than the sun souls.

In the deepest gorge the way of the shadow quietly creates new disciples in secret, traveling through hidden passages and tunnels to ply their dark trades as assassins and spiesin far off nations

The astral selves live in a valley of mists, where one cannot trust their own eyes lest be prey to illusions and deceit from the land itself. One can only trust the eye of their mind to penetrate the fog in this region.

The drunken masters live north, behind the kensei, and aside from their usual expected antics, they venture out the most to other lands. They also do recruitment for other monasteries in their travels.

The four elements take on the role of landscapers more than most. They perform much of the farming duties and land care, tattooed all over to show their specialties and jobs

The sun souls occupy the second tallest mountain that holds up the south end of the gong. They act as administrators and inner guards. Their demographic tends to be more wealthy than others. They think they are better than the ascendant dragons.

The way of mercy populates the valley underneath the gong. The most priestlike, they perform of the cultural duties, namely, being caretakers for the storm giant when he rests monthly.
