Mallean (Mall-ee-an)
God of metallurgy, forges, and creation
Mallean is almost always around in one way or another. Either it being the clanging of steel in the forge or just the thoughts people have of what to create next. Sometimes he even appears to help fledgling blacksmiths as a larger than normal very muscular goliath. Typically wearing a leather apron and eye protection. Sometimes holding tongs or a hammer as if he just came from his own project. Everyone that's met him has described him as an all around a nice guy a hugger even. Loves to make things for people in need and help those who need it.Domains and Flavor
Clerics of Mallean almost always channel his prowess in the forge. Though there a some that channel what the wepons made in the forge are used for, that being war. These two sects of clerics veiw Mallean very differently and this can sometimes lead to tension. Almost all forges will have some statue of Mallean or offering place for him and it's very common to find a blacksmith that worships him.Myths and Relationships
Mallean is the son of Coranth and Lielle and brother of Venificus. The most prominent myth surrounding Mallean is that he started the winter tradition of giving gifts to each other. The story goes as follows: on one of his journeys to visit his people among the mortals, he arrived in a village late into the night and found nobody awake to accept his blessings. Intrigued by the opportunity to give without receiving worship or prayers of thanks, he left his gifts by their hearths and kept traveling. He continued this yearly tradition until a young mortal realized he was responsible and thanked him via prayer. After that, the mortals took up this tradition with family and friends—anonymous presents appeared next to hearths, accompanied by clues to the giver's identity, and friends and family delighted in solving the mystery of who gave what gift.

As said before this deity is worshipped by almost every smith. Mallean's churches even sometimes have a working forge in the back in case anyone gets some inspiration while praying.Divine Symbols & Sigils
