Marinus (Mare-ih-nus)
God of the seas, seas creature, and sea fairing
Marinus is a very powerful god, having reign over the seas is a lot. His powers are seen on a day to day basis. Whether it be through sailors or just people relaxing on the beach. Sometimes he's known to just hang with people on the beach. He's an average height man with long golden hair and has very tan skin as if he's spends all day outside, and has a big smile. He's typically wearing a seashell necklace and a floral shirt. He's described as a very easy going guy though only if you respect the seas. Don't disrepect them or the enxt ship you get on may be the last.Domains and Flavor
Marinus is most closely associated with life, tempest and trickery. Some worshipers of him are some kind of sea fairer, either fisher, sailor, or even pirate. Most clerics of Marinus are devoted to the tempestuous seas or the abundant life within though some choose to focus on the unpredicatbility of the waves.Myths and relationships
Surprisingly enough, even though Marinus is the god of the seas, his wife, Aestus, controls the tide. The two of them were married under Coranth and soon after had two children, Saltare and Vynaria. There are not many legends or myths surrounding Marinus. Though everyone that's met him insists that he's the best surfer in all of Astalia and only ever does catch and release fishing.Religious Influence
There is a church to Marinus on almost every coastal city. Before big seafairing expidetions everyone on the ship will gather in the church and pray for a safe journey and then ring the bell for how many days they're expected to be out at sea.Divine Symbols & Sigils
