Simav family (see-math [simæθ])

The Simav family is a dwarvish family from the Harantsi region of Warka. Many members have held prominent positions in the Warka navy, and several members have held positions in the Harantsi khanate government or the Warka government overall. The Simavs are vocally proud of their involvement with the Navy and as members of the Harantsi culture, as well as being dwarves.
The family claims to be the oldest dwarvish family in the Brights. They are indeed one of the longer-standing such families, though determining a single oldest family is difficult if not impossible.

Notable members

Political

• Tisaf Simav (b. 5851) is a former member of the Council of Ninety-Nine. She was a member of the council under the previous khan before Lord Jaina Khutul.
• Oxumi Simav (b. 5800) is a historian and biographer. Her late wife, Kanya Metharom, was a former Harantsi khan.
• Apis Simav (b. 5906) is a member of the Harantsi Court of the Circle. He is half-human, as the son of Jamilah Simav.
• Jamilah Simav (5866-5961) was a human Harantsi councilor who married into the Simav family. Her son is Apis Simav.

Military

• Ankhba Simav (b. 5951) is a general in the Warka navy. Its wife, Mishu, is also a decorated naval officer.
• Mishu Simav (b. 5949) is a decorated naval officer.
• Eheki Simav (b. 5853) is a general in the Warka navy.

Artisan

• Kit Simav (b. 5913) is a celebrated glassblower.
• Xerav Simav (b. 5797) is a renowned bronze worker. Ze began making art later in hir career, but was very successful at it. Ze often worked with hir partner Klahan, who is also a sculptor.
• Klahan Simav (b. 5795) is a sculptor. It works primarily in bronze but has also worked in other media. It often worked with its partner Xerav before ze retired.
