Crop Refinement
Now that you've harvested your crops, you may be wondering what to do with them. In the Farmer's Catalogue you will notice a high and low trading price for crops, this is based off of scarcity, ie supply & demand. You will always want to try to sell your items where they are in higher demand and worth more. Furthermore, you can refine your crops into artisanal goods which will also increase the price they are sold for.
Refinement of items and crops can take on many forms, such as a miller turning wheat into flour, an herbalist turning hemp crops into rope, or an alchemist turning flower petals into dye. The outcome of refinement is some specialized good which has a greater value and usage than before. Refining goods may be done by the player, or contracted to a workshop where they may have to pay a small fee.
In order to refine goods, you need only go to the shop or the skilled person able to refine your particular crop/item (see table below). They'll usually charge a commission equal to about 30% of the refined yield value, but consult a DM to find out. Alternatively, you can roll to refine the crop/item yourself, see Here for more details.
See the Farmer's Catalogue, the table will show what crops may refine into. The table below shows some examples of workshops that may refine your items:
