The Sunlight Abode
Upon the peak of The Silver Mountain lies a small alabaster temple. This is the home of the Highpriest of The Incandescent Order of He'Sén and the holiest faculty of their faith. For it is built upon a peak that reaches over most clouds and thus gets more sunlight than any other place in the Republic.
Purpose / Function
The monastery is the home of fervent prayer and attempts at contact with He'Sén. It is here that the Highpriest resides and meditates upon the aspects of life and faith. Most other staff on the grounds are there to serve the priest in their every need. It is from this point that the Highpriest performs their greatest duties, such as calling blessings upon the land through massive rituals.
But for most people of the order it is a place of pilgrimage, for to climb The Silver Mountain is an arduous test of faith. To ascend all the way to the top is a journey that takes several days and is wrought with peril, even though there are several rest-stations on the path. Most of those who attempt the climb turn back before reaching the halfway point, some make it higher, and it is not uncommon for worshippers to perish in their attempts. The rare climber who reaches the abode is greeted with a warm welcome and is granted an audience with the Highpriest. All of those who have succeeded have become high-ranking officials within the order and are seen as paragons of their faith.
Architecture
The entire structure is built out of white marble and seems to have been constructed out of a single block of stone. Powerful miracles were used to make make it seem like this marvel of construction was actually possible. In truth, it was created out of several large pieces of marble that were all fused together.
Every hall of the monastery is large and spacious, yet very sparsely decorated.
