Difficulty Class

A Difficulty Class is a value used to determine how difficult it is to perform a task. A Difficulty Class is checked by rolling a D20 and adding the skill/ability/save modifier relevant to the check at hand. Meeting or exceeding a DC value in a check is a success, with anything below indicating failure. The effects of the roll are determined by whatever is calling for a check. Some checks provide variable results based on how far over or under the DC you roll.
