Ramlings of Vargo.
My investigation of the scroll was met with much trepidation until I came across the wise idea to have a some poor sod open it for me. The poor fella never saw it coming as the scroll claimed his eyes, he he he... I still have no idea what it does.
On our latest investigation of an odd cult we found a well that contained a small labyrinth. Within those blood soaked halls we found a forge that requires blood as payment for imbuing weapons with magic abilities. This is another point of intrigue.

Black skull scroll
Our adventures today have granted me a curious scroll adorned with a seal embossed with a black skull. I don't dare to open it yet due to the inherent dangers of magic. Also, my sacrifice to Valsharoon seemed to be inadequate, the church must be made in his honor first.

Dangers of Stone Hell!
Stone Hell seems to be quite the dangerous place. During our travels in this macabre place two of our retainers fell to the undead. Although their deaths have little weight on my life, I do find it quite intriguing at the resilience of zombies. We encountered Seven of them in total and they managed to take two of our ranks. HOWEVER, once our dwarf companion fell, his death was not a waste as I was able to quickly call upon his corpse to assist us in combat. Once under my control, the servitor was quite the formidable fighter. I did find it odd that the other zombies had no interest in the servitor and it was able to attack freely and not gain their ire no matter how much damage it inflicted on them. Although, servitors are not the greatest at handling dexterous orders, their usefulness as fighters and meat shields is commendable. Valsharoons gifts always manage to impress me.

Sheep Skin Tomb
In my latest outing, in the Giant Oak, our party encountered an odd bunch. These furbearing Goat-men offered us a great many kindness and accommodation before our party managed to degrade their the pleasantries. During the skuffle, one member , Grayson, took a knife to the face and managed to sluff his mortal coil. I offered my assistance, although I doubt they would have liked the outcome. Once the caster Salazar used his, quite delightful, wand of cold and froze said Goat-men solid, we found their treasure chest. In said chest was odds and ends, gold, and a curious tomb. This tomb is clad in sheep's skin and full of magical text. It's an understatement to say that I was intrigued, so I told the caster that I can learn to read the text in the curious tomb and to my surprise he handed the book over. I'm overwhelmed with curiosity... Once I learn to read magic, who knows what tantalizing new additions to my abilities could be had. I feel like every new spell gets me one step closer to my goal, and Valsharoon, one day, may grant me the boon of undeath.
