Blockade of Orcport

The turning point of The Freedom War, the Blockade of Orcport was born of the frustration and desperation of the The Astorian Pact's leadership. After three consecutive crushing defeats - the last of which saw every single rebel fighter lost - the leaders of the Pact threw everything they had at one of the greatest symbols of oppression and slavery in all of Astoria: an Imperial port city called Orcport. So named for its sole trade good: orcish slaves. In the dead of night, the Pact's strongest naval combat vessels surrounded the port. When the light of the dawn crested the horizon, all ships opened fire with everything they had, reducing the overconfident Imperial vessels to splinters, and wiping out more than half of the main port of the city. With the naval defenses out of the way, the Pact troops flooded the city, slaughtering any Imperial they found and freeing or recruiting every slave within the city's boundaries. Once they ensured the city was devoid of all life, they again unleashed their full naval might upon it, reducing the entire city to rubble. Later, upon the site, the Orcs would found a port city/capital of their own: Nathilog.
