Harvestbearer

The Harvestbearer is usually the most senior druid of a circle attached to a Temple of Pelor. These druids guide their fellow druids and the community around them in everything regarding the tending and harvesting of the land around them. A Harvestbearer is an expert in animal husbandry, planting, harvesting, crop yields and rotation, irrigation, the proper storage of each crop, and often many more topics, depending on the Temple's location.
A Harvestbearer is not selected via any kind of special ceremony, rite, or ritual. Rather, when a druid becomes the member of the circle who has been with a particular Temple of Pelor the longest, they are viewed by their fellow druids as the most knowledgeable on the area and its needs and therefore, its Harvestbearer. Sometimes, when several Cultivators have similar amounts of seniority within a circle, they all share the responsibility as Harvestbearer, each taking responsibility of their particular area of expertise. This usually only happens in larger communities, however, as more expertise is generally needed the larger a temple community gets.
