Krangath

Krangath is the fourth and final layer of the Outer Plane of Gehenna.

Geography

Unlike the other three layers of Gehenna, Krangath is completely devoid of any volcanic activity. Although the rock composing the slopes is volcanic in origin, the layer has been extinct for at least several millennia. Not only geologically dead, the layer is also devoid of any other signs of life. There is no wind, no source of light or heat, and no natural sounds. The only pervasive smell is that of brimstone. The only times wind blows on the slopes is when an occasional portal shifted the air. The only sounds heard are distant footsteps of visitors. The only inhabitable locations throughout Krangath are subterranean caves that provide some protection against the intense cold. Since nothing can survive on the surface, the cave systems are violently disputed among the layer's inhabitants.
