Minethys

Minethys, also called the Blasted, is the third layer of the Outer Plane of Carceri.

Geography

Minethys looks like a bead of planet-sized orbs without a string. The distance between two orbs is about 5,000 miles. The orbs are smaller than the ones in Cathrys. The orbs of Minethys are desert worlds. The place is cold and windy. The constant wind blows up the yellow desert sand, causing, apart from bad vision, unprotected people to choke on the dust or to get actually hurt by the blown sand. The latter is lethally dangerous and heavy clothing is required for protection, otherwise skin is flayed to the bone. The flying yellow sand, combined with the red glow of the orbs, caused the orbs to look orange. The clouds of flying sand stink like a stinking cloud, however wet cloth is enough protection against it. About every ten days, the deserts are beset by a tornado. They are dangerous but could be used to fly from one orb to the next—most people did not survive it.
