Elashi
Elashi is the common language spoken by shyxaure and other citizens of the Shyxaure-Ziirpu Alliance. It is based on a laryngeal vocal structure, however, which can make speaking Elashi difficult for those with different vocal structures.
Structure
Morphology
Elashi uses a set of suffixes and prefixes to signify certain additive aspects of nouns and verbs, such as plurality and tense.- -u denotes plurality
- pal- denotes past tense
- fal- denotes future tense
- -yx transforms verb to noun
- ehs’- denotes possession when applied to the object
Syntax
Elashi's word order is not as rigid as other languages, deriving a majority of its meaning from context, but in the case of certain verb tenses and adjectives a specific word order is important to determine meaning. The language uses a loose SVO structure.Composition
