The 1st Venily War was the first of two conflicts between the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets and the Republic of Venily. It began with a false flag attack by Venish forces, and ended with the capital of the Venily Republic - Emerson, under siege. The war would cause galactic condemnation of the Venily Republic, although notably, the 1st Empire of Jerace supported the Venish cause. 
Initially, Venish forces saw large success, attacking the newly joined Federation Sector of Skileta with a huge assault with both of their naval vessels. In response, the Federation Navy deployed most of its forces in defence of the sector. Under the command of the Venish Admiral Lance Fyfe, a large force of Venish Naval vessels circumvented the Federation defence and directly attack Iomhare.  
The Federation Navy was quick to send the 4th and 6th fleets, under Admiral Will Hayys to combat Fyfe's push. In a now-infamous defeat, Fyfe's forces - despite being numerically inferior, surrounded the Federation Naval force and decisively defeated it. 
With Federation military forces on the defensive, Federation Intelligence agencies were the only thing that prevented Venily from winning the war. In one of the biggest mutinies in history, Federation agents were able to convince Fyfe, as well as most of his officers to desert, and switch sides. Suddenly, it was the Venish Navy that was on the defensive. Under Fyfe's leadership, the Federation annihilated their opponents in several battles, until they reached Emerson - the Venish capital. With Emerson under siege, the Venish Government capitulated, with the Federation proving victorious in the 1st Venily War. Though only with the assistance of a former Venish Admiral.
