Federation Navy Crewman
The Backbone of the Federation Interstellar Navy
The backbone of any fleet, not as flashy as the marines, nor stoic like the Security Corp, or as recognisable as the officers, but perhaps the most important and vital role belongs to the Federation Navy Crewman. If I every wanted anything done, I was never going to call anyone else. The Federation Navy Crewman is a role within the Federation Navy that is made up of numerous specialist roles, such as the Federation Navy Communications Officer. It is by far the most numerous group on any Naval warship, almost always outnumbering the combined force of Federation Navy Marine Corp, Federation Navy Security Corp, and Officers onboard the vessel. Despite the large number of crewman aboard any one ship, they are split into many hundreds of roles. A typical crewman is capable in nearly a dozen specializations, although will usually focus upon one core skill, such as communications. When engaged in combat or any other form of mission, it is intended that any crewmember is able to take up the role of another at a moment's notice, keeping any vessel in maximum order for as long as possible. The role that the Crewman holds over any vessel is a key part of the Federation Navy, and ensures its continued dominace over the Galaxy of Astraesto. While individual Crewman are often never known outside their families, in favour of the other classes, there work is always paramount to every Federation victory, from the smallest to the largest.- Admiral Francis Ryan
