Kaelon War
Among the earliest conflicts within the Galaxy of Astraesto
War is a misnomer, the Kaelon War was no more than a conflict of words, built upon an ever-expanding planet of Humanity, in the earliest days of our grand colonisationAnd what of the Kaelon Independence Movement? Were they not violently opposed to the New Terran Republic? Perhaps not a 'real war' but an insurgency nevertheless? They were a small group, and no violence ever proved useful to either side during this supposed war
The Kaelon War, also known as the Kaelon Rebellion, or Kaelon War of Independence, was a conflict between the New Terran Republic and some colonists on the planet of Kaelon, between 7 and 9 AC. While relatively minor in the grand scheme of things, the war proved to be the beginning of an overall split from the Horizon centred New Terran Republic, and its colonies that began to spread across the Galaxy of Astraesto.
The 'War' itself was far more of an armed insurgency, rather than any outright war between the New Terran Republic and Kaelon. While members of the Kaelon Independence Movement (KIM), occasionally engaged in violent acts, they were far more focused on protests and riots, though they failed to see much success. Eventually, the death of Violet Menth, the chief proponent of Kaelon independence, and leader of the Independence Movement, would lead to the end of the Kaelon War, with the planet firmly under the control of the New Terran Republic.
