The first MegaCorp, the OG as some would say, but even being the first was not enough to remain at the top of the food chain.
While Letheia monopolized the Spaceship & Station Industries, its demand & supply steadily derailed from the state it was in at during the birth of the Galactic Scene.
Letheia’s prices continuously went down, but somehow the company survived, all thanks to one of its subsidiaries, “Astr0 Technologies”.
This subsidiary did the impossible and conceived an alternative to Erchius Fuel, a so-called Quantum Fuel, this innovation saved their MegaCorp from going down under. However, a few years later, a brand new MegaCorp by the name of “HeliGrowth Combined” took interest in the Quantum Fuel, especially due to its success amongst the many syndicates and governments of the Galactic Scene.
Eventually, the “AstroWave Pact” was signed, the summary of it was the offer of the Quantum Fuel production to HeliGrowth in exchange for a joint research on a better; stronger and more efficient reactor for both ships; stations and installations as a whole.
This pact went down in history as the first real exchange between two MegaCorps, as well as the origins of the now named Quantum Reactor.
Following the creation of such a revolutionary piece of equipment, Letheia hurried to keep the production rights for it, HeliGrowth thankfully agreed to leave it in its fellow MegaCorp’s hands. For as long as the Quantum Reactor sells, the Fuel that goes with it will sell just as much.
A rare working relationship between two MegaCorps and the revival of Letheia’s declining influence.
Naturally, Letheia is still far behind the top MegaCorps of today, it would require another miracle for it to climb back up to first place on the leaderboard.
