Technology in the setting is quite advanced (space trips etc) and it is pervasive but on a personal level it is discreet. Of course there are all kinds of machines and electronics to facilitate labour especially manual and to make life easier in general. AI and humanoid robots haven’t really caught on though. On the contrary expert systems and industrial robots are the mainstay of production, logistics etc. Internet-like networks are inter-connecting the planets but on the whole individuals tend to be more private than ever. Of course there are wide variations between cultures but don’t expect to be able to just “google” everyone and everything. There are mobile-like devices and various integrations and augmented reality options. Usually these are common in lower/working classes while highly valued professionals, the rich and nobility tend not to favor them (of course their PAs do).
