Chromatic Harpies

These chromatically shaded harpies are one of the seemingly feral races found close to the expedition site. Or so the matter seemed at first; where later investigation revealed that an intelligent seemed to be guiding them, one capable of mass producing more of their own race, and with such creation skills it begs the question - why are these creatures such avid hunters that their attacks would include the expedition members?

Culture

Average technological level

If the harpies wield weapons at all, the highest quality of weapon is the rocks and sticks they drop on creatures. Whilst there are no signs of practical metalworking or any form of advanced practical woodworking, they do wear magical jewelry which often serves to enhance their abilities or behave similarly to scrolls in effect.

Common Dress code

Basically naked - they're savage, though feathers cover the naughty parts.

Art & Architecture

The architecture of these creatures appear to favor beaver-like burrows, and dens, structures made out of sticks and mud, though located no where close to water. These rather large structures range in sizes between mansion and castles, as they hold a large number of the harpie creatures.   Their architecture allows for nurseries, and food storage - which often consists of meat and raw flesh, as well as particularly juicy plants with an aversion to any hard-to-chew materials.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

These harpies appear to be most commonly cloned through creation magic, though some varience indicates an expressive freedom of an intelligent mind, or a genuine courtship and mating ongoing within the nest.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

These harpies notably have chromatic feathers which indicate a racial culture, with duller or blander colors being indicative of a lower rank within their class, the brighter and more radiant their colors the stronger and more intellectual the associated harpie is, with Tucu uncovering incredibly vibrant feathers from within the nest, though never encountering the ones they came from.
