Coaltl Byrd

Coaltl Byrd was born an ordinary aasimar, yet after a chance encounter with a traveling wizard from arcanis who didn't like the clothes coaltl was wearing at the time, was forced into the form of a bird.
And as for as far as interesting experiences go, Coaltl couldn't be blamed for experimenting with the life of a bird for a while, yet it came with intense inconveniences - like lacking hands... and a proper voice, in fact, he couldn't even SPEAK to the other birds. so, finding the experience lonely, he offered prayers to the goddess Shelyn.
So fervant were his prayers, that eventually the goddess would listen to her worshipper and give him a more humanoid form, blessing him with her gift and creating thus - one of the greatest and most avid of her followers who would go on to explore the mainland and bring with him great gifts of protection and healing.
Of the challenges Coaltl faced on the mainland, he found his niche in become the forefeather of many scripts and learnings that would eventually be shared with the rest of the world.

The Spores of the Devouring One

This pernacious disease is a four stage disease the culminates in the complete take over of a host and their transformation into an enslaved creature. Due to the almost invisible nature of how it spreads between it's victims, it can only rarely be treated before it hits it's most critical state. Unless of course, Coaltl has something to say about it.

Soulrot

This curse can be found lingering in certain artifacts on the mainland, transmitting by touch it has five stages which manifest themselves as a mundane sickness and culminates in the complete destruction and near-to-irrevocable dispersion of the victim's soul. As the curse resists traditional magical cures, it requires a unique herbal diet to weaken the curse in order to dispel it.

Kingsnumb

This ten stage disease was found a couple decades into inhabitance on the mainland, an infectious mold that formed upon food supply, this triggered psychotic breakdowns upon victims being given orders or being restrained, resulting in even the most tame of creatures rising up against their owners. due to how long it took to develop, it consequently took an extensive amount of time to cure at the time.
