Lumene
Geography
A continental island with diverse geological features. Surrounded on all sides by salt water. In the northeast, hilly forests dominate the landscape. The northeastern and southeastern regions of the continent are split by a large river which has many port towns and cities along its length, the majority being on the northern side as the river as the south is blocked by a mountain range. The southeast mountain range rainshadow creates a desert. A large aquifer creates a large lake surrounded by life, both civilized and wild. Approaching the sea, there is exponentially more greenery (most of it is Sclerophyll/chaparral vegetation) and towns, most of which are port cities located on the ocean.
In the southwest, there are more rolling forested hills, although there are many more lakes and rivers than that can be found in the east. There is a large sandbar and a temperate rainforest between the sea and the southwestern forests. There are also several close islands from the shoreline of the southwest. There are a large number of towns in this region. In the northwest, the majority of the land is woodland. This region has a large number of rivers. There is also a region of thick jungle-like vegetation between the west and east, where there are many waterfalls and hot springs. In the (off) center of the continent, there is a large inactive, plateaued volcano. This is the only place on the continent where is regularly snows.
