Blathspawn

A Blathspawn, often times called an undead child of Blathmac, was a twisted mortal offspring of the deity, produced from vile debauchery, blood sacrifice, and ritualistic suicides of Blathmac's followers. Souls of Blathmac's followers were taken to his realm and currupted and twisted and reborn into the world as Blathspawn.

Description

Most Blathspawn where magical shapeshifters of great power, being able to conceal themselves as a normal member of their race, only to expose their horrific true nature at a time to create the most amount of chaos and destruction. Part of a Blathspawn's soul is divine, being split from Blathmac's own divinity. This soul fragment usually activates in Blathspawn, granting them immense demonic arcane power and abilities. The personalities and identities of individuals with one of these soul fragments would tempt the person into murder and evil deeds, and seemed to have some knowledge of fate or luck, leading these murders or evil deeds to be more powerful and dramatic than a normal cirumstance. Blathmac foresaw his one demise and planned to use the Blathspawn to bring about his ressurection. It is believed that these plans failed with the closing of the last Obsidan Gate and the ending of the Blathcrisis.
