Special Containment Procedures: SCP-048 is not known to possess any current or direct risk. Even so, its unique nature requires that special measures be taken to restrict access and manipulation of SCP-O48. SCP-048 is kept in a standard secure containment cell 40-feet by 25-feet. The containment cell is to be installed with a reinforced glass tank to house SCP-048 and the cell and tank must be kept at 32.5°F (0.28°C). SCP-048 must be put on ice before being transported and must be transported under a full company of divine spellcasters and cryomancers. Upon reinstallation, a new solution of formaldehyde must be made and poured into SC-048's tank. Transportation can only be done by Passione personnel if given direct approval of at least 2 Level 2 personnel.
While SCP-048 has never given Passione personnel any trouble since its acquisition, this is expected to be possible of changing if the containment procedures are breached in any way. Under no circumstances should personnel come into direct contact with SCP-048 unless given approval of at least 1 Level 2 personnel.
Description: SCP-048 resembles the ancient stories of creatures called 'naga'. The body of SCP-048 is 32-feet long and resembles a constrictor snake or anaconda. The head of SCP-048 is that of a middle-aged woman with long, straight blonde hair with dull green eyes. The mouth is set with rows of spiked teeth, however, and the ears are pointed and elongated. Before SCP-048's demise, it was reported to have the capability of full speech in many languages and was a natural spellcaster according to agents in the area who acquired the body of SCP-048. The tongue of SCP-048 is forked like a snake and is capable of extending upwards of 3.5-feet.
If SCP-048 is indeed a naga, then failure to contain the body will result in the supposed 'rebirth' of SCP-048, effectively making SCP-048 and any other members of its species, immortal.
Addendum 048.1: Discovery
SCP-048 was discovered by local farmers who after becoming brainwashed by SCP-048 started a cult that overthrew the local druidic religion. The cult was discovered by travelers and Passione personnel moving through the area and containment procedures were attempted. However, meddling by the travelers resulted in SCP-048 being neutralized. After the retrieval of SCP-048 by local agents, the home lair of SCP-048 was sealed with concrete - taking several months. This was performed under the cover of agents rebuilding certain sections of the nearby town of ██████████. Addendum 048.2: Experiment 1
SCP-048's hair was approved for trimming to see if growth would occur. A 1-inch section was approved by the site director and the experiment was performed without incident. The taken hairs did not regrow back and when left exposed to the elements broke down like any other of the deceased. Addendum 048.3: Experiment 2
SCP-048's tissue was collected and subjected to multiple tests including being subjected to a crucible. Upon meeting the heat of the crucible, but before being fully submerged, the tissue began to react violently, bubbling and fizzing before evaporating into a dull, toxic green mist. After approval from the site director, more tests were done on the tissue samples involving heat, leading to strict environmental containment procedures. It was deemed that as long as SCP-048 was subjected to the cold, it would remain in this inert 'deceased' state. Fully believing the specimen to be a species of the creatures called 'naga' a request was made and approved to change SCP-048's object classification from neutralized to safe.
