Rescuing the Krom Krushers Report
General Summary
After rushing forth from Monterra, the Scions were able to locate the Black Brigade's prison convoy and attempt to overtake its guards. Facing a hail of arrows and ballista fire, Mork and Anton sped toward the wagon train. Rayuuv conjured a hail storm to slow its progress, while Mira conjured a storm cloud to rain thundering death on the Scions' opponents.
However, the wagon train had a surprise. One of the Black Brigade's battle mages appeared on top of the rear wagon and peppered the party with bolts of arcane force. Anton managed to recover his inner strength and leap on the train, stunning the battle mage and giving Mork enough time to join him.
Mork and Anton hear a voice - it's Harold, and he assures them that everything is going according to plan. They were supposed to get captured in order to figure out where the Black Brigade's secret base is by interrogating the captain of the wagon train. Unfortunately, the captain has already been killed by a lightning bolt from Elomira.
Bree manages to escape from her wagon and get to work separating the prison wagons from the lead carriage. However, an orb of thunder magic knocks her from the train an almost kills her, but she is saved by timely medical intervention from Dr. Mork.
Anton manages to detach the lead cart and calm the horses, ensuring the wagon train doesn't crash into the oncoming mountainside. The evoker disappears into a portal, while the squad leader and three remaining scouts surrender. They don't know much; they had been operating out of a forward base and had never been to the secret headquarters. Mork believes them, and the Scions decide to return them to Monterra for further interrogation.
The Krom Krushers realize they owe the Scions their lives and pledge to help them defend Monterra from Trogdor's forces. They head back to the city to finalize preparation for a showdown with none other than Trogdor himself...
