The Black Brigade

The Black Brigade are the special forces of the legion. They specialize in espionage, sabotage, assassination, kidnapping, and generally terrorizing enemies of the emperor. When called up for overt action, they are trained to utterly destroy their enemies through the combined use of magic, artillery, and shock tactics.
The unit's insignia is the laughing skull, and it is often the last thing their enemies see before complete annihilation.
An entire legion of the Black Brigade, led by Kazimir Konstantin , disappeared after a pacification mission in Avec .  It is believed that Legatus Konstantin is waging a shadow war against the empire from the woods in Avec, although no one is sure why.
