WA Summer Camp 2019

Prep work and goals for Ataraxia

Summercamp is a marathon, and all Marathons needs some planning. They get you motivated and get you ready to go right out of the gate. Give us an WA article that summarizes what you want to cover in Summer Camp!
— Barron, supreme overlord Master of Games
Yes! it's finally time for my first WA Summer Camp! Like our Lord and Savior good friend Barron suggests, it's time to start refining the world of Ataraxia over the course of June, which means a lot of updates, a lot of writing, and a lot of worldbuilding!   One of the biggest goals I have is to update the world's CSS (again) and create multiple themes that feel congruent throughout the world. Even as it is now, I'm still not 100% on it's feel. Darker stories might have darker themes, and lighter factions might have lighter themes. It's a somewhat ambitious project but I'm enthusiastic, so I think I can get it done. Setting nice animations and transitions feels like a good idea too!   But after that comes content creation. My biggest focus will be on the 3 C's of my setting, Characters, Cities, and Concepts. All the articles that I have planned to write are in the sidebar. They'll stop being gray in a bit, I swear! Completed stubs will be turned into blocks and be displayed at the bottom of the list. That means the whole sidebar is gonna be a big check-list!

Goals for WASC 2019

I'll be honest, there's not a whole lot about the prizes that interest me, but getting feedback, support, internet points, and comments through the event is more than enough reward for me! Since this is my first Summer Camp here on WA, I'm just gonna work at refining the world so I know how to answer the prompts. It's good to get inspiration on worldbuilding from the prompts, sure, but it's an even better feeling if you've already thought of the question before it was answered! So, that's the goal for this June. Create stubs, kill stubs, build the setting, and embrace the difficulty of 30 prompts in 30 days.   If you want to catch up with these shenanigans, just follow Ataraxia and be updated when I check something off the list! Also, you can show some love for these articles!
