Vergess

Once a small mining town of around two hundred, the abandoned village of Vergess has been slowly but surely reclaimed by nature. It was built around a large facility for the mining and processing of blackrock, as part of a secret military project by the Räsgardic Empire. However, the miners delved too deeply and awoke an ancient eldritch being who began killing them and using their bodies in dark experiments. The creature possessed the ability to erase its victims’ entire existence, causing them to be forgotten by all who once knew them. Over time the inhabitants of Vergess all fell victim to this creature until the town stood empty and forgotten.
