Lathander

The Morninglord (a.k.a. Inspiration's Dawn)

Lathander is the god of dawn, renewal, and birth. He is a god of beginnings, prayed to for blessings before an endeavor, be it for fertility and health in new life, the undertaking of creative works, or the beginning of a risky project. His name is invoked in sealing alliances, the christening of new businesses, the birth of children, among other new beginnings.

Followers of Lathander

• Novice priests of Lathander are known as Awakened, while higher-ranked clerics were known as Dawnbringers. New priests in the service of Lathander took on a new name in recognition of their new beginning under Lathander's acceptance.
• Followers of Lathander respected and were often purveyors of art and culture, if not creators of such themselves.
• As Lathander was associated with the sunrise, rituals and ceremonies were held at dawn. Contracts and agreements made at sunrise were said to be blessed by Lathander.
