Melvin

A jovial merchant who happens to be a skeleton. Melvin is originally from a time long past, if his ancient clothing style and insistence on using electrum as a currency are any indication. In any case, he has somehow survived to the current era as a walking skeleton and continues his trade of selling rare and magical goods to passing travelers. He carries a large wooden chest on his back, which he calls his "loot box." He offers wares from the chest, though he never knows what is for sale until he pulls an item out. To open the chest, he feeds it coins, which are grabbed by a long tongue that shoots out from inside it. The box is mysterious as the contents inside.
