Personal history

Once a great wizard that was known across the land for his crusade against all things evil, he died at the hands of a Mind Flayer, that warped his lifeless body so out of shape that the wizard bolted upright, strangled the Flayer with a mage hand, and then slaughtered every living thing in a 2km radius. His animated body became a lich, able to think for himself, and lead an army of the dead like no other.
