The Fair Trade House

The headquarters of The Merchants Guild is located in the heart of the bustling Marketplace ward. It is a large, grandiose building that towers over the other shops and stalls, exuding wealth and power. The building is made of sturdy stone, with gleaming marble columns and intricate stonework decorating its exterior. The entrance is marked by a large, brass double door that is guarded at all times by two burly individuals, dressed in the Guild's colors of deep purple and gold. Inside, the lobby is spacious and well-lit, with marble floors and tall, arched windows. A long desk dominates the room, manned by several clerks who are busy recording transactions and answering questions from visitors. The walls are adorned with maps of the city and the surrounding lands, as well as detailed ledgers and charts that track the flow of goods and money. A grand staircase leads to the upper levels, where the Guild's leaders hold court and conduct business.   The rooms on the upper levels are elegant and comfortable, furnished with plush carpets, fine art, and expensive furnishings. The Guild's leaders use these rooms to hold meetings with their members, to negotiate with other merchants and traders, and to entertain guests. There is also a large conference room, equipped with a long table and comfortable chairs, where the Guild's leaders can discuss and make important decisions.   Throughout the building, there are strongrooms and vaults where the Guild's wealth is stored, protected by the latest in magical and mechanical security measures. The Guild's leaders take their responsibility to protect their members' wealth and property very seriously, and they spare no expense in ensuring that their headquarters is secure.
