Braofor
The Grey Lily of the North
Once a small trading town and principality of the north lords of Braomar, the city officially came under Imperial rule almost three hundred years ago. The combination of Imperial Rule, the Peryrean Trade Republic's investments, and lots of prime real estate, the town grew quickly. Now sporting almost twenty-five thousand citizens, the town is one of the largest cities in the northern parts of the Empire.
Government
The town (like most under Imperial rule) is governed by the Lord Protector, a nobleman/woman of rank and title who has pledged fealty to the Imperial crown. In Braofor, the Lord Protectorate is Katalina Droden, alongside her is her small council of nobles from the city to assist with legal matters, and the Silverfeet family as representatives of the Peryrean Trade Republic.
Defences
The town of is enclosed within a stone wall and sports a militia/town guard of about 100 men. When called to war, House Droden and its banners can call in an army of 6,000 men.
Industry & Trade
As a trade hub in the north, there is ample variety of goods and services in Braofor. It's largest exports include furs, linens, fish, and pottery, and imports consist of stone and iron.
Geography
The city sits on the edge of the River Torlian on the Plains of Godring. With ample room for farmland and fishing, the city can support a large population.
