Nixë
God of Winter, Lord of The Everfrost
Nixë is the god of Winter and one of the five creator gods of Athír, otherwise known as the Archons. He is considered to be an evil god, who longs to transform the world into a frozen, desolate wasteland. He is known under many names, such as the Ice Bringer, Lord of The Everfrost and the Accomplice of Death.
History
During the Archonic Wars, Nixë was banished to lands of the North and locked away in a fortress called the Citadel of Nixë. During the course of his banishment he turned the once fertile lands of the north, home to the Kingdom of Giants into a frozen wasteland and created The Everfrost, destroying the Kingdom of Giants forever. It is said that he is still locked away there, and can only muster the power to create a winter once per year.Divine Domains
Nixë is a merciless god of cold and winter and mainly worshiped in the northern realms of Roathia and The Grey Lands. Most of his worship comes in the form of pleas, with people making offerings and sacrifices to him in the hope that he is merciful that winter.
Worshipers
His worship mostly comes out of fear rather than respect, however there are secret cults to Nixë who work to see his plan accomplished. One such cult is the highly secretive The Azure Order. Members of this cult often venture into the freezing Everfrost to retrieve relics and messages from Nixë, in the hope that they can free him from his celestial binds.Holy Books & Codes
The Ivory Tome is an ancient and some say magical book, which contains all the history, prayers and rituals of the Church of Nixë. Written over 2000 years ago, during the age of the Archons, it is said to hold the key for releasing Nixë from his exile in The Everfrost. It's exact location is a tightly held secret, but it is rumored to be kept somewhere in the Library of Norvak in northern Roathia.

Holidays
Deepwinter (Nixem 30th to Fogmur 1st) - Worshipers of Nixë, and those who hope to gain his favor welcome the coming Winter and the Months of Darkness by making offerings and sacrifices to him.
Deadwinter Day (Nixem 1st) - New members of The Azure Order are inducted into the cult, by embarking on a five day trek into The Eversfrost.
