Dean of Worlds

The Dean of Worlds is Athua's primary expert on parallel worlds and interdimensional travel. Inspired by the mysterious appearance of the suddenly famous Loxodon musician Tunks, the Dean established a community college at the university in Hawkloon in order to study other dimensions and planes of existence. The many worlds theory, as he likes to call it.
He acts as the Dean of the community college.
The Dean of Worlds peers into the multiverse and sees a vision of himself managing a wildly successful cover band of a cover band of Tunk's Monster wars era band, so he forms them in this dimension. Hoping to get rich, on the side from academia. Which is his first love.
The very same Tunks (whose own band had broken up) hears rumors about an amazing band gigging around Hawkloon, so he goes to check them out. When he realizes that it's a cover band ripping off his own cover band, he becomes furious. He creates an even cooler band on the spot, and forces his way up on stage as the opener for the Dean of World's band. Tunks blows them out of the water. The crowd is mega bored at the headliner. The Dean is annoyed, but impressed, and he and Tunks get to talking about the interaction between chaos magic and entropy. The Dean realizes this is the very same Tunks that caused him to study the many worlds theory. He offers Tunks a position teaching Entropy at the community college.
Tunks and The Dean of Worlds found the Athuan Postal Service APS (APS).
Sometime later, the Dean of Worlds once again looks into the multiverse and sees the reality where he is the manager of the cover cover band who are the biggest thing in the world. He steps through the portal, killing the alternate version of himself and kicking the body through the portal. For some reason, this action imbues his essence with the ability to reverse death. Tunks walks in and finds his friend in a death pose. He quickly administers healing the Dean does not need. The new Dean is disoriented and freaked out.
